East Earl Township has both a Zoning Ordinance and Building Code. A permit is required before beginning construction of new dwellings and for additions, alterations, porches, decks, swimming pools, sheds, signs, fences and agricultural buildings.
A permit is not needed for maintenance and/or repairs. More examples.
A permit application must be completed and submitted to the Township's Zoning Officer. Application forms are available online or at the Township office. The Zoning Officer will determine whether a zoning or building permit (or both) is necessary.
A Third Party Inspector (choice of three) conducts any required inspections.
