Township Meetings

East Earl Township meetings are held monthly or as needed. All meetings are held at the Township municipal office building and are open to the public. Date or location changes will be advertised and posted. Below is a list of regularly scheduled meetings.

The public is cordially invited to attend all public meetings of the Township Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Zoning Hearing Board and Water & Sewer Authorities. Any person with a disability requiring special accommodation to attend a meeting should notify the Township Secretary not later than five working days prior to the meeting. Every effort will be made to provide reasonable accommodation.

 Board of Supervisors

  • Organizational Meeting: First Monday in January of each year .
    Regular Meeting: Second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
    Special Meetings: As necessary -advertised in the legal section of the LNP newspaper

  • Planning Commission Meeting
    First Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
    The East Earl Township Planning Commission is comprised of five members appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a four-year term. They serve as advisors to the Board of Supervisors and make recommendations regarding ordinances and policies governing development of land within the Township. They are responsible for reviewing all proposed subdivision and land development plans.

  • Zoning Hearing Board Meeting
    Third Monday of every month (*as needed) at 7:00 p.m. with any exceptions noted and advertised accordingly.
    * Zoning Hearings are advertised in the legal section of the LNP newspaper
    The Zoning Hearing Board is comprised of three regular members and one alternate member, all appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a three-year term. This Board acts as a decision-making body for hearings relative to zoning regulations, special exceptions, variances, interpretations and appeals of the Zoning Ordinance. Its decisions are independent of the Board of Supervisors and are legally binding, thus requiring an appeal of decisions to the Court of Common Pleas.

  • Weaverland Valley Authority: Meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Monday of the month. Members are appointed by the East Earl Township Board of Supervisors and Terre Hill Borough.

  • Elected Auditors:
    Meet in January of each year - the day following the Reorganization date of the Board of Supervisors.
    The Auditors are elected to serve six-year terms. Their responsibility is to hold an annual meeting in January to set the rate of pay for any elected Supervisor(s) who work for the Township. The Township uses an independent Certified Public Accountant to audit the financial records of the Township annually.
